(Fig. 1) / 12 (41804) DT
The invention relates to an extensible fastening tie with a tab having latching holes and a closure adjoining the tab, which forms an inlet opening adjoining a base for the end of the tab opposite the closure and a latching lug.
Fastening ties are known from AT 411052 A, which can be made in one piece from elastically deformable material and are therefore suitable for connecting objects under prestress. However, due to the high forces that act on the closure due to the pretension, it can happen that the closure, which is also elastic, is deformed and therefore the latch is bent out of the latch hole or even breaks due to force peaks that occur, causing the tab to slide out of the closure can and the fastening tie releases the enclosed object. This problem arises in particular when transverse forces act on the tab or when the latch itself is deformed or damaged by external influences.
In addition, in the prior art, the locking lugs can be slightly overstretched when loosening from the locking holes, as a result of which the restoring effect of the locking lugs is lost with frequent use and the locking lugs are damaged, so that in the worst case they break off and thus make the fastening tie completely unusable.
The invention is therefore based on the object of designing an expandable fastening tie in such a way that objects are securely held under pretension, in particular when transverse forces occur on the tab.
2/12
The invention achieves the object in that the latching lug is pivotably attached to the base within a guide channel adjoining the entry opening between a latching and an opening position and the edge region of the guide channel opposite the base has a securing groove on the outlet side for receiving the latching lug in the latching position.
As a result of these measures, the tab is guided within the closure in the guide channel which adjoins the inlet opening and extends to the outlet opening and is secured against evasion transversely to the longitudinal direction of the tab. For this purpose, the cross-section of the guide channel must correspond to the cross-section of the tab, the guide channel itself being able to be formed by one or more edge regions which at least in sections abut the tab guided therein. Despite the use of a stretchable or elastic material, this results in a very stable latching situation if the latching lug protrudes from the base through a latching hole of the tab across the guide channel in the latching position and engages in a securing groove on the edge region of the guide channel opposite the base, which prevents the latch from bending transversely to its longitudinal axis. If the tab for fastening an object is inserted into the guide channel, the latch is bent back into the open position and subsequently engages partially in the latching holes of the tab behind one another until it springs back due to its elasticity, the latch completely engages in a latching hole of the tab and through the pretension engages in the securing groove of the edge region of the guide channel opposite the base. A release of the locking lug from the securing groove is therefore only possible if the free end of the tab is pulled in the direction of insertion, whereby the tab is lifted out of the securing groove and pivoted back into the open position. Of course, this is only possible if the flap itself is made of a stretchable material.
A particularly advantageous mechanical behavior of the fastening binder according to the invention results if the closure and the adjoining tab are made in one piece from an energy-elastic as well as an entropy-elastic

Material are made. Such a material ensures, on the one hand, sufficient bending elasticity and, on the other hand, the extensibility essential for the invention, while at the same time sufficient material rigidity can be achieved. Such a material can be, for example, a thermoplastic elastomer that not only enables easy processing by injection molding, but also good recyclability.
In order to enable the edge area of the guide channel to be flush with the tab in the area of the locking lug, it is proposed that the edge area of the guide channel adjoining the base have a recess in the longitudinal direction of the guide channel and set back relative to the inner wall of the guide channel for receiving the locking lug in the open position formed. As a result, the latching lug is not in its opening position within the guide channel, which results in very good guide conditions for the tab with a small overall size. In addition, the recessed recess forms a stop for the latch so that it cannot be overstretched in its open position and can therefore be damaged despite its stretchable design.
So that, on the one hand, a defined pivot axis is formed for the locking lug and, on the other hand, material deformation in the region of the base can be avoided when pivoting, the locking lug can have a material weakening in an end region attached to the base. This weakening of material can advantageously extend across the locking lug in the transition to the base in such a way that a film hinge is formed, about the pivot axis of which the locking lug can be displaced from the locking position into the open position and back again. If the material weakening on the guide channel side is carried out in the form of a semicircular undercut, the advantage results that the areas of the latching lug or the base adjoining the material weakening come to lie on one another in the latching position and a particularly stable, form-fitting connection results.
4.12
In order to avoid breaking the latching lug, particularly in the area of the base, in the event of a strong force being exerted on the fastening tie, the latching lug can be tapered towards the end facing away from the base. As a result, the force effect causes the tapering region of the locking lug to bend against the insertion direction of the guide channel, which, in the case of a locking lug that is convexly bent in the insertion direction, enables the front edge region to rest securely in the securing groove and at the same time damage the linkage relative to the base, particularly in the Film hinge, prevented.
A secure engagement of the latching lug in the latching holes of the bracket results together with easy accessibility of the latching lug for releasing the fastening tie if the base is arranged in the region of the guide channel facing the bracket.
The subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing, for example. Show it
1 is a schematic plan view of a fastening tie according to the invention,
Fig. 2 is a section along the line II - II of Fig. 1 on a larger scale and
Fig. 3 is a sectional view of a fastening tie according to the invention in the locking position.
A fastening tie according to the invention comprises a tab 1 and a closure 2 adjoining the tab 1, which is integrally connected to the tab 1. The closure 2 has a base 3 to which the inlet opening 4 of a guide channel 5 connects. The guide channel 5 is delimited by a peripheral edge 6. At the base 3, a locking lug 7 is pivotally articulated about a film hinge 8, so that the locking lug 7 can be moved back and forth between an opening position shown in FIG. 2 and a locking position shown in FIG. 3. The edge region 9 of the base opposite the base 3
5/12
Guide channel 5 has, on the side of the outlet opening 10 opposite the inlet opening 4, a securing groove 11 for receiving the latching lug 7 in the latching position shown in FIG. 3.
The edge region 12 of the guide channel 5 adjoining the base 3 can form a recess 14, which runs in the longitudinal direction of the guide channel 5 and is set back relative to the inner wall 13 of the guide channel 5, for receiving the latching lug 7 in the open position. In addition, the latching lug 7 can have a material weakening 15 in an end region attached to the base 3, as a result of which a film hinge 8 is formed in the embodiment shown.
In order to avoid breaking through the locking lug 7 under strong force loads, the locking lug 7 can taper towards the end facing away from the base 3, so that bending of the locking lug 7, as shown in FIG. 3, is facilitated.
To close a fastening tie according to the invention, the tab with the latching extinguishers 16 is inserted through the inlet opening 4 of the closure 2 into the guide channel 5, as a result of which the latching nose 7 is bent back relative to the inner wall 13 of the guide channel 5 into the recess 14 of the edge region 12 and thus the guide channel 5 releases for tab 1. The edge 6 encloses the tab 1 and fixes it in the two transverse directions to its longitudinal direction, so that when the tab 1 is inserted further into the guide channel 5, the catch 7 partially penetrates into the individual locking holes 16. The pivoting range of the locking lug 7 is limited towards the rear against the recess 14, so that the locking lug 7 cannot be overstretched.
3, and when the tab 1 is released, the locking lug 7 engages in a locking hole 16, penetrates it and engages, extending across the guide channel 5 into the Locking groove 11 a. securing groove
6/12 and locking lug 7 can be dimensioned such that they are flush with one another, so that the locking lug is protected against external forces.
To release the fastening tie, all that needs to be done is to pull on the tab 1, so that the locking lug 7 is released from the securing groove 11 and is bent back out of the respective locking hole 16 into the open position.
